Minorities and Females AAP Components Checklist

An affirmative action program is a specific set of result-oriented procedures to which a contractor commits itself to apply every good faith effort. The result should be equal employment opportunity for minorities and women. The required contents of an affirmative action plan for which contractors are responsible are stated under Title 41 CFR 60-2.1 through 2.17. What are the required elements of an affirmative action plan?

The following is a list of the components of an affirmative action plan:

  • Narrative - Minorities and Females (CFR 60-2.17)

  • Organization Profile/Workforce Analysis (CFR 60-2.11)

  • Job Group Analysis (CFR 60-2.12/13)

  • Availability Analysis (CFR 60-2.14)

  • Utilization Analysis - "Comparing Incumbency to Availability" (CFR 60-2.15)

  • Placement Goals (CFR 60-2.16)

  • Adverse Impact Analysis (I & A) of Hires, Promotions and Terminations (may be kept separately from AAP documents) (CFR 60-2.17(b) and (d))
